ATTITUDE: THE CIRCUMSTANCE CONQUEROR!

Bishop ChippIt has been commonly said, and well said, that “Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% of how we react to it.” In other words, attitude is more important than our circumstances, failures and successes. The longer we live, the more we should realize the impact of attitude on life; And the sooner we realize it the better off we are. Attitude impacts every aspect of our lives. As vital as gifts, talents and skill are to success in life, attitude is more important. Your attitude is even more important than what other people think, say, or do. We cannot change the fact that certain people will act in a certain way, but we can choose the attitude we will have each and every day.

Attitude will make or break a business, church, or home! Attitude is a circumstance conqueror! It can empower us to overcome any challenge, hardship or problem we face. I am speaking of more than a good attitude, but also a godly attitude. The only thing better than a good attitude is a “God” attitude! A good attitude is a right, proper, or fit attitude. A “God” attitude is good, but it is also an attitude born of our God-given dreams, visions, and the Word of God! Dreams and visions inspire powerful attitudes in life, and empower us to overcome all the dream threatening obstacles we face in pursuit of destiny.

The life of the patriarch Joseph provides us a powerful biblical example and study on the power of attitude, and the relationship between dreams, visions and attitude. Joseph received a dream from God that inspired him to what I call a “sent” attitude. Joseph was mistreated by his own brothers, sold into slavery twice, and thrown into prison on false charges. Yet, Joseph’s attitude in life, that enabled him to overcome all the dream threatening circumstances, was that he was “sent” by God.

Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that you sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. And GOD SENT ME [my emphasis] before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

Genesis 45:5,7

Joseph’s “sent” attitude empowered him to conquer all the negative circumstances standing between him and his dreams and visions. To many people just let attitude happen! They let their attitude for life happen by default and not by design. They allow life’s problems and circumstances to dictate their attitudes. Attitude is far to important to just let happen by default. I invite you read my book,SENT OR SOLD: The Dreamer’s Dilemma.” It is a bold, fresh, inspirational, and biblical perspective on attitude that will encourage you in your pursuit of destiny. • I love this post on attitude. I like the distinction you made between a good attitude and a God attitude. I know choosing to have a God attitude is a gamechanger where my God-given dreams, vision and purpose are concerned. Yes, a sent attitude makes all the difference. Your book is awesome and I am so inspired. Thanks Bishop Chipp!
