Recently the world has witnessed some amazing things in the midst of the great devastation in Haiti. I’m speaking particularly about those who were found and rescued 14+ days from beneath the rubble of the earthquake. That’s 14+ days! That’s a miracle! I believe God’s helping hand is revealed here. One person reported that while he was beneath the rubble someone in a white coat brought him water. Some think he was just delirious. Personally, my heart and my faith considers angelic help from God!
As I pondered these events I began to see how important it is for us to never quit; to never give up hope in our most difficult times and circumstances. Have you ever felt like you were buried beneath the rubble of life? Rubble is defined as: 1. broken fragments ( as of rock) resulting from the decay or destruction of a building. 2. A miscellaneous confused mass or group of usually broken or worthless things.
Perhaps you or someone you know feel as though they are buried beneath the broken fragments (rubble) of a detached marriage, broken family, financial trouble or sickness and disease. Maybe, like those buried beneath the rubble as a result of the earthquake in Haiti, you feel like you are buried under fear, doubt and pain. Beneath the rubble is a place where you must fight for hope! It is a place where you are unable to move and have feelings of suffocation. It is also a place where you hear the muffled voices of people and bulldozers (other instruments of help), but have yet to receive the help that you need personally. BUT DON’T GIVE UP! GOD HAS A MIRACLE FOR YOU!
Like those who were rescued from beneath the rubble in Haiti, believe God for your miracle. God is still in the miracle-working business. Personally, I take these miraculous rescues as a sign from God. God will rescue you. God wants to rescue you. Turn to Him. Hope in Him. Have faith in Him! Strengthen your spirit with the word of God (The Bible). I believe those who survived had strong spirits even though their bodies were weak or broken.
What are your thoughts on this matter? Do you believe in miracles? Do you even believe in God? Would you like me to pray for you? Let me know.
Bishop Chipp

WOW! What an awesome and inspiring word. Hope and the belief in miracles is something we all need and is very tangible; if we believe and trust in God. It reminds me of something I heard years ago, “We may go through the fire, in gasoline underwear, but we won’t burn up!” That’s hope, love, and belief in miracles! Thanks Pastor Chipp for that timely and uplifting word.
